SEC penalizes OTC stock trading operator, its second settlement in two years

Developing Confirmed

The SEC has censured OTC Link LLC, the OTC Markets Group unit that runs a trading system for over-the-counter stocks, and ordered it to pay a $575,000 penalty. The agency found that from August 2016 to March 2025 it failed to establish, maintain and enforce written policies required by Regulation Systems Compliance and Integrity. OTC Link agreed to the censure and a cease-and-desist order without admitting or denying the findings. It is the firm's second SEC settlement in about two years: in August 2024 it agreed to pay $1.19 million after filing no suspicious activity reports from 2020 to 2023.
