Oct. 8, 2026 — The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced eight recalls Oct. 8, four of them for products that violate mandatory safety standards. In each case, the agency says, consumers should stop using the product and contact the company.
- About 110,550 PACEARTH swing seats: seats, carabiners or straps can break. Pacearth Direct has at least 30 reports of falls and nine injuries, including fractures. Refund.
- About 42,860 DR Power Pilot and Premier trimmer mowers: grass and debris can ignite. 19 fire reports, two minor injuries. Free repair.
- About 12,078 Romorgniz six-drawer dressers sold on Amazon: they can tip over if not anchored, violating the STURDY Act standard. Refund.
- About 3,630 LED-light keys sold with Giant SureLock bike lock sets: button batteries children can reach. $5 refund.
- About 2,140 ONTHEWEI baby bath seats sold on Amazon: they can tip over, posing a drowning risk. Refund.
- About 1,150 Decathlon Van Rysel GRVL AF bicycles sold at REI: the front lock nut can loosen. Free repair.
- About 476 The Conqueror Avengers medals: high-powered magnets can detach. Three reports. Refund or replacement.
- About 100 Snow Peak Takibi propane fireplace inserts: the lava rocks can ignite and explode. One report, no injuries. Refund or replacement.
