California awards $115.2 million in Homekey+ funds for supportive housing in five places

Developing Confirmed

Oct. 26, 2026 — California awarded $115.2 million through Homekey+, its supportive-housing program backed by the voter-approved Proposition 1 bond, for projects in Yuba City, San Francisco, Riverside County, Lompoc and Los Angeles County, the governor's office said. The awards range from about $16.2 million to about $40.6 million, and the state said they will create 329 homes, 168 of them reserved for veterans. Homekey+ has awarded 2,905 permanent supportive homes since 2024, 828 of them for veterans, the office said.

The wall: The state's own award list was not checked; the 329-home total could not be reproduced from the per-project figures, so it is given as the state's figure. How the 2,905 homes are spread by county was not included.

Tier: Confirmed (based on the governor's office's release)
