Drone strikes on Sudan's power, water and fuel are cutting off care and aid, UN official says

Developing Reported

Nov. 4, 2026 — Drone strikes on civilian infrastructure across Sudan over the past couple of weeks are disrupting electricity, water and fuel, the UN's resident and humanitarian coordinator there, Denise Brown, told UN News. At a hospital outside Khartoum with no generator, the power went out and 25 people lost their dialysis treatment, she said. Hundreds of aid trucks are stranded by fuel shortages, and markets and displacement sites have also been hit, UN News reported.
